Ludwik Jurek is a counsel at the Office of the General Counsel to the Republic of Poland (Prokuratoria Generalna Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej). He graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Warsaw University.
Ludwik has represented Poland in numerous investment and commercial arbitration proceedings, conducted under the UNCITRAL, SCC, ICC and ICSID Additional Facility Rules. In addition, he regularly acts as counsel for the Polish State Treasury in proceedings before Polish courts. In the past, Ludwik was involved in the preparation of Poland’s submissions in several proceedings before the Court of Justice of the EU, including in the Komstroy case.
At the intergovernmental level, Ludwik has participated i.a. in the negotiations of the 2020 Agreement for the Termination of Bilateral Investment Treaties between the Member States of the EU and in works of UNCITRAL Working Group III.
